Welcome to the homepage of the Computational Geography lab at the Department of Physical Geography, Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Our team conducts research at the intersection of computational sciences and geography. We design methods and software for spatio-temporal simulation modelling and use computational models to predict and improve our understanding of geographical systems. Our research has links with data science, complexity science, and scientific software engineering, with applications in hydrology, eco-geomorphology, health geography, and related domains.
